Description
In some cases, videos that have been embedded into an article using an iFrame may not display when the article is published, even though they display as expected when editing the article.
Workaround
Often, this can be resolved by adding the domain of the site that hosts the video to the Trusted Domains field of the Dashboard's Security page, as shown below.
- Navigate to Dashboard > Settings > Technical > Security.
- Specify the domain of the host site.
- Scroll down and click Save.
✔️ TIP: If you have videos hosted on multiple sites, add those domains to this field as well to avoid future similar issues.
Re-publish the article
Additionally, you'll have to re-publish the article after adding the domain to the Trusted Domains field.
- To do this, simply edit the article and click Publish again.
📝 NOTE: If you have a large number of articles that have to be re-published, contact Vanilla Support. We can assist you in using an API endpoint to automate the process.
